When our power came back at 4:10 AM there were beeps all over the house, and then the
Windows overture blared away. That got me up, and I began reading comments when one from Howard (
Oraculations) led to an hour long search for truth.
What he said, in regard to E.D. Hill's sudden, and very mysterious
departure from Fox & Friends, is that the media hates Fox
News so much that the hostess of the nation's highest rated
morning cable show could be
booted without a single word uttered by the media. I started Googling, and he is absolutely right!
What links Howard could offer were from two news blogs. Both assert
that E.D. was fired, possibly because low level producers didn't like
her. According to
mediabistro she had previously been offered network jobs,
''She told me that she was once offered a spot on The View and Weekend
Today but didn't take it because she liked the morning hours and
non-weekend days, not to mention her Fox contract. I wouldn't be
surprised if she started to seriously consider this again..."

I dashed off a letter to Fox News with my complaint, but there there are
several things more important in play here.
- There is no doubt that democrats fear and loath FOX
News. While independent surveys consistently rate FOX as having
the most even coverage of a given event, the left media portray
FOX as a political tool of the Bush White House. When I assert that
Democrats operate from behind a veil of lies and deceit, I do so
without hyperbole. Any light shone on these cockroaches is life
threatening, and they know it.
- Just as the National Organization of [Liberal] Women ignored claims by women harassed by Bill Clinton; and just as the NAA[L]CP automatically dismisses black Republicans as Uncle Toms, the National Press rallied
behind Clinton when Chris Wallace was attacked by him for asking an
obvious, but inconvenient question. They are of a monolithic mind,
and deserve no special protection by a free people.
- There are no meetings held by the MSM to plan strategies on
smearing FNC. They're not necessary, coming as they do from
people so inculcated with left liberal ideas that attacks on Fidel
Castro are seen as smears on their world view.
- This ought to be very scary, but it doesn't seem to bother
us as a nation. When a prominent member of the media can openly
say, as did Assistant Managing Editor Evan Thomas,
as though discussing the merits of his morning biscuit, that the
media want John Kerry to win, and their effort on his behalf will add
15% to his vote, and does it without a trace public outcry,
it indicates we are no longer a great nation, but instead a collection
of self absorbed, very ignorant twats no longer capable of showing
anger, or taking action, or even deserving of freedom.
I know you had a thing for E.D., sorry she got canned. I guess. The clips you've played of were cool but man, I just can't take TV. Even FOX. I stopped watching network news over 25 years ago and TV totally for 3 years. Don't know really WTF else I can do other than go on some B-52 runs with you.
ReplyDeleteIf historians look back and say we used our freedoms to destroy ourselves, oh well. My letters to the editor days are over.
Sure is creepy when the ratbastards at The NYT can print classified document after classified document with impunity. If a Republican administration with a president that reallly does have thick skin is unwilling to prosecute these MoFos, what am I supposed to do?
Hey don't get me all funky today big daddy, it's my BD and I'm off for a killer mountain bike ride.

Hate to kill your buzz, but it ain't true. E.D. took a later slot so that she can take care of her kids.

That's the same view I initially had, so if you're E.D. Hill, you qualify as a source, and that's that. If you're not, what is your source?
ReplyDeleteSecond, the thrust of nearly my entire ''buzz'' was not that E.D.may have been fired, but her unceremonious departure garnered not a single word from the media. Not a word.
Interestingly, Spurlee's comment above originated from
ReplyDeleteCountry : United States (Facts)
State : New York
City : Mottville
Is that you Brien?
And Happy Birthday MM!
ReplyDeleteHi, it's me again. I took the very onerous work of going to the FoxNews web site and copy/pasted what they have there. You can go your self if you are interested

BTW, I live in San Antonio, so I have no idea why it says New York...
Pffffft. I saw that, it says nothing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rog, I'm in a post workout lethergy. I listened to an interesting discussion on the way up into the hills about campaign finance reform. And what a joke it is. Effing McCain really put a ton of power into the hands of newspapers and TV news, most of which are liberal to very liberal.
ReplyDeleteAnd they all discussed FOX and how the MSM and liberal politicians are in full attack mode. When I used to watch FOX, I remember it being a fairly balanced presentation. When I watched Rush on CBS with Katie several weeks ago, I stop counting the lies and omissions and as I recall, they continued to call Valerie Plame "undercover"
And they hate Fox so much, with it's paltry 2M nighty viewership, vs. over 30M for the MSM. It is like pissing in the wind. Our strength is talk radio and the internet.
Really check out the hatred FOX(Faux-cute) garners on KOS and DU and Common Dreams. It is amazing. They had such a liplock for so long on ALL the media and now it is like holding onto smoke and thay hate it.
In the meantime, can you say, "I think I saw that glacier move" All I can say is look back at the explosion in information sources in the past 10-20 years.
