Hey, TFV, thanks for the GPS recommend. I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 350 on the net this morning (424.00 out-the-door). If you've ever priced these lil' suckers, you'd know that a great $$$.
Good deal Juice! I'm not familiar with that model- that's about what we paid for our Magellan but I'm sure if I looked at the features on yours- I'd be sick. That's just the way technology is, tho.
I had to make an emergency trip south summer before last alone driving into Hurricane Dennis (think that's the name- they all run together) and I know this will sound crazy but it was almost like having company in the car. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours.
I bought a car out of state and was driving it home using its integral GPS to help me find my way home. I called my wife to tell her where I was going to stop for the night, and while we were talking the GPS's sultry female voice boomed out "Prepare to turn right in 800 feet" to which my wife shot back "Who's the bitch in the car with you?" Moral: Read all the manual so you know it's going to talk to you. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
