scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
I used to have a Makarov 9mm short pistol and one time I was shooting at tin cans, using cheap aluminum cased ammo--I figured just shooting at cans, why not use cheap ammo. Well,anyway, I was rapid firing at the cans, when one round or casing misfired and another round went off directly behind it. The gun didn't blow up, but the sides bowed up and scared the shit out of me. The gun (an East German model) was tough,though, as it didn't blow my hand off--as I have heard of happening. I have nevere used cheap ammo since.
The Israeli Galil rifle has a bottle opener built in, as required by the specs. The part that the bipod attaches to doubles as a bottle opener. Picture:
AIR, the 1911 actually has at least 3 bottle openers, all of which will do less damage than that.
ReplyDeleteStill better than the way Homer Simpson uses a gun to open a beer.
ReplyDeleteSay what you will about the Commies, but they made some tough guns.
ReplyDeleteEven if it is a Makarov, I just hope I never get that thirsty.

ReplyDeleteGarland
If a round feels different or weak, you stop shooting. Period.
ReplyDeleteThen pound out the bullet that is invariably stuck halfway down the barrel.

They did it to keep the troops from using the magazine feed lips to open those bottles.
