Bush had his three-fingered W salute that supporters flashed when
greeting him at presidential campaign events in 2000. And now, if a Los
Angeles creative agency gets its way, Sen. Barack Obama will see fans
meet him with his own salute like the one above.
"Our goal is to see a crowd of 75,000 people at Obama's nomination
speech holding their hands above their heads, fingers laced together in
support of a new direction for this country, a renewed hope, and
acceptance of responsibility for our future," says Rick Husong, owner
of The Loyalty Inc.
Husong tells me that he got the idea after seeing the famous Obama-Progress poster by artist Shepherd Fairey. [Washington Whispers]

Like assholes really need a sign to know each other!
ReplyDeleteYour picture at the top of the this post Rog reminded me of an old joke
ReplyDeleteSeems a guy went by a motorcycle cop a few miles over the speed limit. Well the cop jumps on his bike, turns on his lights and pulls the guy over. The cop walks over to the guy and says, "You were doing 48 in a 45, gotta write you a ticket." Guy says, fuming, "C'mon, 3 over! and a ticket?" So the cop is writing up the guy and figures maybe a little small talk will ease things a bit so he says, "What's your line?" The guy says, "I'm an asshole stretcher" The cop is like WTF, doesn't know which way to go, so he plays along and says, "How's that work?" The guy says, "Well, I start with a couple fingers and pull, then I get a few more fingers in, pull some more, then finally I can use both hands and I really stretch that asshole out. When it's about 6' across, I'm done." And what do you do with a 6' asshole," asks the cop? The guys says, "You stick it on the side of the road and ticket people going 3 over the limit." -bada bing-

That was a nasty gesture when I was in high school -- saying to the person it was aimed at to suck it! (As it is shown it would be as if someone up front were telling someone behind them to suck it).
