One
day after the United States proposed $1 billion in humanitarian and
economic assistance to help rebuild Georgia after its war with Russia,
Vice President Dick Cheney flew here to reaffirm Washington’s support
for this country’s eventual NATO membership and to issue a powerful
condemnation of Moscow. [NYT]

Gawd,
but I love that guy. I think it's a non-starter though.
Cheney's asking that famous warrior class, Europe, to sell life
insurance to a patient with cancer. Plus, NATO membership as raison d'agir smacks
of congress passing new ethics rules every time they're caught
taking bribes. You don't need no stinking laws to do what's
right.
Too bad, because, as I previously stated, Georgia is Putin's Rhineland,
and it looks like he got away with it. We're all gonna pay for
that short-sightedness by Europe; not for the first time.

Look at the bright side, in a few years Europe will be selling their shiny new F-35 JSF's on the cheap with very few hours of flight time. Maybe pick up a few for the Barn Army?

Selling? Do you really think these Muslim nations will be selling them?
ReplyDeletedespite our leaders and our media...England will always remain English...don't underestimate the average working Brit...there are plenty of us and anger is growing....the govt tries to keep the lid on the growing anger but it will change the nation in the not distant future.
