McCain Leads OH, Trails FL, CO, VA, NC, MO
As expected, Scott Rasmussen released his polls for five battleground states and they all show McCain losing ground compared to the previous poll.

These polls were all done October 5th among 1000 likely voters in
each state. It continues to amaze me how wildly divergent all these
polls seem to be. This morning we had two polls showing Obama with
double-digit leads in VA and now have one showing the race to be within
the margin of error. Clearly both can’t be true. [Hedgehog Report]

Consider
that this morning CBS, which polling gave Biden a resounding 50 percent
to 31 percent win over Sarah in their debate, says "the race is tightening."
Why would the likes of SNL and Alec Baldwin be so eager to pin the housing loan bubble burst on Democrats?
Because they know what's percolating in the workplace, and by targeting
Frank and the House, they direct away from Dodd and Obama in the
Senate. What else makes sense?
Palin is a Pit Bull, and will not let up. Because of her McCain too is
showing gumption. If he folds tonight, though, all bets are off.
Here's why I think McCain is in like Flynn at this juncture, in no particular order.
- It's standard practice for pollsters to overweight sampling on the order of 53D-39R, much too high.
- College students who do not vote anywhere near their strength are Obamnans.
- Obama's Birth Certificate issue is beginning to percolate publicly.
- The idea is, and has been for years, to use polls to discourage Republican voters, but
Obama is such a polarizing figure that fear will take over, and result
in a massive McCain turnout
- 70 million people watched the Palin-Biden debate
- Obama's ties to radicalism are only now surfacing in a big way. The topped-out Democrat Scream-O-Meter means fear.
- Obama has lost 8% of the Hillary-women vote -how does he make that up? With men?
- His Muslim image
- The Bradley factor
- The focus on ACORN's vote
stealing won't stop the practice, but makes it harder for them to
operate as openly as in the past.
- I
cannot fathom Obama keeping anything close to the 78% Jewish vote that
Kerry received in 2004. If there is a Bradley factor, liberal Jewish guilt is
susceptible to it. McCain keeps Florida.
- Four years ago at this point some polls had Kerry up by as much as 8.

I think Obama will still get a huge % of the Jewish vote.. at least in the large Metro areas.
ReplyDeleteMy wife works in the fashion industry (Manhattan). The management of her office is very Jewish and very leftist. Her boss, an older Jewish woman is wearing her "Obama for Pres" pin.
I think these people are leftists first and Jews a very distant second. Showing a woman like by wife's boss all the reports of groups that simply want to kill Jews are (illegally) funneling money to Obama's campaign would have no effect. She will continue to vote for people like this until the day some enemy of the Jews is allowed, by the very government she helped vote into power, cuts her throat.

By all rights Obama should get zero Jewish votes, but I worked right down the street from you for awhile and know the type. My contention is he won't get 78%, and he needs it in Florida.
ReplyDeleteI think you're wrong Rodger. I'm a Jew and a Conservative. My family has and will always vote for a democrat (COMMIE)no matter who the opposition is or what is happening in America or the world. To them, the left can do no wrong. Man are they fucked up.

I also think that the McCain-Palin team has strategically planned its attacks on Obama's associations and judgment.
McCain will lose Miami-Dade County, and likely Broward County as well, mostly because he has bothered to campaign here.
ReplyDeleteThe number one FM radio station during rush hour is all Obama all the time, every commercial break is Obama. McCain is not playing ads at all, I haven't heard even one.
The campaign has sent Leiberman into some of the retirement communities to speak to the Jews... but other than that, nada. nuttin' zero zip.
I see more and more obama signs on the road and in yards every single day. and yes, I actually saw one in Hebrew.

Be of good cheer Linda, in every moment of dire need this nation had, a divine presence has interceded. An Obama presidency would trump our victory in WWII.
LindaSoG - with the revelation that Ayers admires Chavez I would not write off Miami Dade just yet. Heck that could even help the Diaz Balarts and Ros-Lehtinen races.

Rodger, Sarah has been campaigning way up north, in areas that are stong for republicans, not here down south where its iffy.
ReplyDeleteAs for broward, well, white folkses have been moving out in droves, mostly further north. Hispanics moving in in droves, mostly from Miami.
The demographics of broward county have changed since 2004. The county may be a surprise this year.
I think Miami will go left this year. I hope I'm wrong.

ReplyDeleteMy brother lives in Broward County, Florida. His next door neighbor is a Jewish Democrat. The day after Obama's Temple acceptance speech, he told my brother, "I ain't voting for that n----r; that looked like a family reunion bar-b-q." I think if one Jewish Democrat comes out and actually says that, there are a whole lot more thinking that. I think the Jews are more worried about the Muslim aspect (Palestinian sympathizer) than anything else. BHO loses a large share of Jewish votes.

ReplyDeleteZogby has most of those states as "Toss-up", with the number showing slightly McCain (even PA!). I will be suprised if Obama pulls it out, he should be unelectable.
