Enough with this whole bailout gig. We need more Schumpeterian "Creative Destruction". GM can't stay in business? Screw them, let them go under. Let someone else fill their niche. If the bailouts continue, we'll never see a bottom to this recession.

Electricity? I know how to connect and maintain a generator. Problem will be how to keep that sucker lit.
Heat? See electricity.
Food? I have items and skills I can barter on said market.
