This picture is unsettling. Not saying it's not de rigeur these days, just that I've never
witnessed such overt display of force by the Secret Service before.
It's an apt introduction to this brave new era we're entering.

When things get tough for Hussein, some guy with a chip in his butt will do something bad and the press will do their part to paint all dissenters as the perps. SSDD. Nothing new under the sun.
Actually that's one thing our family noticed on our vacation to D.C. this summer --- there were a LOT of Secret Service agents on the roof of the White House. They were going to great pains to be VERY visible and were obviously armed to the teeth.
Anybody ever see Bush ride around like this?
