scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
My kids felt sorry for me because I CANNOT play Halo and those other games on X-Box so they got me Guitar Hero. The wife got me a Kegarator last year and this year she got a contractor that is going to come in a build a bar for my "Man Cave". I think I'll keep her
I got the same thing you have posted but mine was a Sanyo. Plus a new Dell with the new Intel i7 processor. Mind you, I bought both of them for me while shopping for others, but hey, that's what makes Christmas fun!
New weight lifting set, 'Guild of Calamitous Intent' Hooded sweater. 'Dreamstorm' CD (Basically a tropical thunderstorm on CD, hippie, I know, but it's so awesome). Ipod Nano, new workout clothes, Little Big Planet (PS3 Game) Resistance 2 (PS3 Game) Fallout 3 (PS3 Game) and Saints Row 2 to play with my little brother (PS3 Game). Erm...'The Road' By Cormac McCarthy, and Fresh Bold piece by Bill O. Don't tell me, I just was curious. :D. That sums it up, I think.
Usual stuff, the family showing joy at their gifts. I'm the type who hates getting presents since no one can figure out what to get me. I'd rather watch others getting fun things. Wife decided to jumpstart the economy on her own by buying every toy in the city. The grandkids don't know what to play with first.
Mom got me a badly-needed set of bedroom slippers.
My brother and I agreed several decades back that a phone call on or near the holiday is enough.
For me, I got 21 new CDs from the Jazz Heritage Society record club, everything from Dave Brubeck to Ella Fitzgerald with Chick Webb's big band.
I also got many kind notes from my fellow human bears asking after my knee surgery progress, and other good greetings.
Aside from that, nothing at all special, but nothing is expected. Like a real grizz, I lead pretty much a solitary life and am content with it.
For those of you who got computer goodies: I await the new Mac Mini. My present one is pushing four years old and has never caused so much as a second of trouble. But it IS time to move this G4-processor unit to music juke-box duty and move to something with better video.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and belated Happy Beethoven's Birthday to you all.
We got a PS3 ( we had gotten a new TV earlier and wanted Blu-Ray) and I surprised Mr. TFV with Rock Band and 2 guitars.
Haha - our kids (who have moved out) didn't know what we were getting ourselves and were SO PISSED when we opened it. That made it all worthwhile plus now they say they will come visit more!
I got told by my daughter that to be added to my wonderful collection of Granddaughters on or about May 17th will be my first Grandson. Uncontrolable grinning going on at this moment.
