If what the ranger says about slaves' laboring in the fields creating an aversion to nature is true, then I think a hundred generations of manual toil, poverty and brutish, short lives in primitive Africa might be a stronger influence. If Africa and their 'freedom' is so wonderful, I'll buy an 'African' American a one way ticket back 'home' if any want to go.
