When I was a youngin, we had a dozen kites flying at our farm. Then the Old Man (WWII), uncles (Korea), and older cousins (Vietnam) put down the cards and the booze and came barrelling out wielding shotguns. Funniest damm thing, seeing those kites get blown out of the sky.
If this kite were flying, they'd STILL be shooting it.

ReplyDeleteI've seen that kind of kite before. It can get blown up to altitude on gusts of hot air but it always falls back to earth in spectacular fashion.

There are times when a kite string should be cut and the kite given up as lost. We're at that time.
