My
my. In quick succession I tripped over two news items relative to
assertions I made earlier today. First, regarding the AGW
industry. It seems that Obama's Assistant Sec. Energy has a
fortune riding on "green."

Surprising documents
made available to this author reveal that Assistant Secretary of Energy
Cathy Zoi has a huge financial stake in companies likely to profit from
the Obama administration’s “green” policies.
Zoi, who left her position as CEO of the Alliance for Climate
Protection — founded by Al Gore — to serve as assistant secretary for
energy efficiency and renewable energy, now manages billions in “green
jobs” funding. But the disclosure documents show that Zoi not only is in
a position to affect the fortunes of her previous employer, ex-Vice
President Al Gore, but that she herself has large holdings in two firms
that could directly profit from policies proposed by the Department of
Energy. [Obama energy official profits from AGW]

Second, to my point that even if Dems lose control of congress, the
same old Republican Party hacks will still be making policy. And,
lo, it took Jeb Bush just a few hours to make my point.

Jeb Bush speaks out against Ariz. law
Bush said he understood the anger that prompted the bill, but that immigration should remain a federal issue.
"I don't think this is the proper approach," he said.
The former governor recounted how, after he gave a speech Monday night
in California, he was approached by a Hispanic man who was concerned
about the measure leading to racial profiling and unfair targeting of
Latinos.

While I feel that the Bushies are honorable people, I never, ever, want to see that name on a ballot again.

If we do manage to take control of Congress and we get the same GD narrative, which is we're heading toward socialism and the Republicans will just take longer, then I am off the grid-I'm old enough and have enough untouchable money that I'm just going to pull plug on the outside world.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that our side must put forth OUR narrative. You know, this entitlement culture fostered by the liberals is killing this country. Personal responsibility. American Exceptionalism. When I see our side come out after the health care cram down and say, hey there are parts of this that aren't so bad, aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
We had it right for a while in the mid 90s but the fuckers went native. I don't know whatinthehell is in the water in DC but it is clearly corrupting.
My life time is out of do overs, it's now or never. Besides, we're all out of do overs, it's now or never for all of us that love this country.

I have more than one friend or family member who had to go out of business ( concrete , drywall , siding ) due to our little illegal friends stealing their work ! They can go to HELL , or mexico whichever they prefer ! smibsid
ReplyDeleteThe old axiom power corrupts absolutely and absolute power corrupts absolutely applies in DC. The power they are "given" is astounding and the more they take, the more they want and the more they take ad nauseum. We need to take the power away from them....not sure how other than electing the right people but, with term limits. That is the real key - they get in too long they get delusions of Godhood.

Clearly, Jeb is his father's son, and dubyah, his mother's.

I agree 100% with your last sentence Roger. And, 100% with MM.
