Shoes are important
Tip:
Often, the first impression people have of you is reflected by your footwear. Keep those shoes shining like a mirror, and people will look up at you.
Vis-a-Vis the Blue Devils - they deserved that championship after the royal hosing given to the lacrosse team by the school administration, Nifong, etc. So yes, congratulations to Duke but it might have been nice to see a wee school like the Bulldogs win it!
If you're Duke, fear the Turtle. Ahem. K is a very good coach, and I'm glad for another notch in the ACC's belt (Big "Least" snark) But yeah, I wanted that last Butler shot to go in; what a story! They have what? 4200 students? Gene Hackman coulda played the coach.
Hmm. I tried to post one earlier but it didna go threwww. I'm revolted by the cesspool of PC that Duke has become and apart from the hoops, I no longer feel a connection with the school I attended, which is a little sad - no affection for the alma mater. And if it had been anyone but Duke, I would have been rooting for Butler as well. But it's part of legend now and I don't think that many programs have pulled down the prize on their first trip to the final. Butler will be back. And in contradistinction to my "fear the what now?" line, I'm in total agreement with GV as the player of the year (his play in the Duke game at MD sealed that) and GW as coach of the year in the ACC. I don't think anyone expected MD to finish tied at the top.
Reminds me... Aldo's have special this week on anchovy pizza...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I await your congratulations for my Blue Devils taking another national title.
ReplyDeleteFear the what now?
I'll take that job !
