Now "South Park" can't even say the words "Prophet Muhammad."
After last week's episode of the Comedy Central series sparked a threat
(and yes, it was certainly a threat) from a radical Islamic website,
the network has cracked-down-for-their-own-good on creators Trey Parker
and Matt Stone during last night's continuation of the show's storyline.
Last night, "South Park" continued the controversial Muhammad
storyline, but with a key difference: every instance of the words
"Prophet Muhammad" was bleeped out, making the episode practically
incomprehensible, especially to anybody who missed the previous week.
The character of Muhammad was once again also hidden from view, covered by a large block labeled "censored." [South Park Studios response]

Comedy
Central is owned by lefty Via Com, so it is not surprising that they'd
fold like a bad poker hand in the face of threats to their sorry
asses. A few years ago, when South Park first attempted to show
Muhammad, the network censored it, claiming it was "because they're
religiously tolerant"
"No you're not," Stone retorted. "You're afraid of getting blown up.
That's what you're afraid of. Comedy Central copped to that, you know:
'We're afraid of getting blown up.'"

A threat? Meh. You're nobody until you've got a fatwa issued against you.
ReplyDeleteWait'll the "MO" gang in Britain gets a load of this

ReplyDeleteYeah, Micro pigs;
Maybe deep fried whole... ON A STICK!
Yes, for sale in a little kiosk just outside the nearest Mosque.
RAK
The hell of it is, there is nowhere in the Koran a prohibition against showing Mo's image. There are centuries worth of examples peppered throughout Islam Nation to prove it. Another example of how easy it is for a fanatic to hijack this religion for evil.
