down by an overly officious inspector from the Springfield Department
of Commerce ... for lack of a vendor's license! Funny stuff,
that. Scoring a point via theater of the absurd. I mean, this
stuff would never actually happen, right?

This has happened numerous times all over the county, The Simpsons were mocking the fact it already happened.
