  1. Wow, I always thought it was just me who pictured Bill as a blur, but I guess he really does appear that way.

  5. Grew cantaloupes on a trellis this past summer, which worked pretty well, but I think next year I might try to rig up a four-point harness to support them. Thanks Rodg, great idea! Politics, great ads, and gardening advice. I love this place!

you know what Doug? That's the best stand-up routine I've seen this year. I'm thinking, other pols see Christie in action, and they know how frigging popular he is with damned near everyone, so I ask myself, why don't they do the same thing? Say what they feel, unscripted, and unafraid. Sarah Palin does that; but who else? I don't think they can do that because their public persona has been crafted by political hacks, and designed to please everybody. It's just too late to change, so they should just get the hell out of the way. Anyway, thanks for that link.

  8. Doug,Rodger,
Great video of Christie moments in truth talk! He's real people, not real politician.
Reminds me of a line from Princess Bride: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"!
In this case, political death of Libs. Hopefully.

  9. Christie has issued a Shermanesque "I will not run" statement. If there will ever again be an open convention, where people like him can be drafted, it will be this year. Still, slim chance. If nominated Christie would win; I'd literally bet my life on it.

    I meant wife.

No I didn't mean that. Sheesh.
