  1. F'n a!
That could'a been right out'a Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism."
(Think I recommended that book six or twenty times, here.)

  2. I've been trying to recall a source and a complete article on "Shirts" it starts out by saying, "A Socialist is just a Communist in a White Shirt."
Basically it made the arguments that all the Shirts, Black, Red, Brown, and what have you, are all the same underneath.
It is almost amusing to watch the commie factions fighting now over who gets to be in charge of the FCC and "Net Nuetering".

  3. All of those techniques are commonly used by all political movements. IMO the DemCong make more use of them than the Stupid Party.

    But, I state the obvious.

  4. Would be entertaining to suspend Goodwin's Law long enough to do a three column montage comparing Hitler, Bush & Barry. Having just finished W's review of his 8 years (Decision Points,) I would really have a tough time filling out the 'Bush' column. But Barry's Berlin rally gave my (German) father in law some very uneasy flashbacks.

  5. Goodwin's Law is not recognized here, nor should it be anywhere.

  6. Indeed. There are a much older laws than Goodwin's that supersede it: "If the shoe fits, wear it" and Santayana's "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it".
