I watched The Lovely
Bones (2009) on HBO last night. It's about a fourteen year-old girl who's murdered by a serial killer
neighbor. She watches in angry frustration as her killer eludes
capture. Emotionally draining and spiritually satisfying at the same
time. I'm haunted by it.
PS - I think the trailer shows too much.

The book is far better than the movie. I was disappointed in the movie. You have to suspend belief to swallow the movie and I am not willing to do that.
ReplyDeleteBolivar
The psychedelic 'hereafter' scenes kinda/sorta diminished the film.
ReplyDeleteNot unlike similar scenes in "The Fountain". which Rachel Weisz was also in.
