  1. Evidently this rabble has never heard of Monroe or the Cold War. They're entering a world of pain.

  2. Here's more good news, our pal Chavez will be getting several wings of SU-37 fighter bombers, all decked out in the anti-shipping trappings. It's a bad mutha.

  3. It doesn't matter what he gets. He's not going to have enough to roll with the big boys. When push comes to shove, we'll step on him. Of course it won't happen while El Prezedente Zero remains.

  4. Not to worry. I'm sure Jimmy Carter is going to get down there right away.....and ask if he can press the launch button.

  5. @Casca -- Monroe Doctrine went out the window when Woodrow Wilson pushed the U.S. into completely unnecessary participation in WWI.

Additionally, the last time a Latin American dictator pointed nukes at us we had the Cuban missile crisis. That time a Red Army brigade commander on-site had authority to launch if one Yankee Marine set foot on a Cuban beach.

I suspect this time, no "adults" will have access to the nuke launch codes.

We are cursed to live in interesting times.
