scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Not so miraculous. I am in a wheelchair, have very limited use of my legs, but I can stand if I can have something solid to grab or if I can "tripod" bracing my left leg against something solid.
Standing for more than a moment or walking--not so much.
Spent three months in a wheel chair, out for four months and back in for another three months (orthopedic surgeries). It sucked when healthy people parked in handicapped spots, but not when ladies used the handicapped stall.
All kinds of reasons for folks to be in wheel chairs, not necessarily permanent damage.
It makes me think of those evangelist shows where the lady in the wheelchair is "healed" by a smack to the head. The only difference is the evangelist gets a cut.
I rented a wheelchair for myself at work for the month I had to wait to get disc surgery. I stood up and still did some heavy work, but all things considered I'm glad I had the wheelchair. Sitting I felt fine. Standing pinched my disc.
That's why its called Holy Water.

The Wombat
But there's no fun then Wombat. :D
ReplyDeleteI have similar issues like Wombat - spend a week in that chair - and you'll see why we don't see much humor here.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is funny! Sheesh!
