It
unfolded in what's considered one of the nation's most conservative
appeals courts. But the randomly selected panel includes two appointees
of Democratic President Bill Clinton, and observers say it's hard to
predict how they'll decide. The Clinton appointees are circuit Judges
Frank Hull and Stanley Marcus, while Chief Judge Joel Dubina was tapped
by President George H.W. Bush

Hard to predict? I
would love to be pleasantly surprised, but I won't hold my
breath. If this panel upholds the Florida decision, I believe it
will be the first court that didn't decide an Obamacare challenge on
party lines (Democrat v. American).

While you can depend on Clinton appointed Judges to vote liberal, if they are Clinton's good buddies they might just take delight in giving Obama the shaft. There is a certain amount of bad blood there. If they are on the appeals court they also may be thinking ahead about their chance to get on the Supreme Court. If you have a conservative majority in the Senate after 2012 they may want to make nice now.
ReplyDeletetoadold makes a good point, but I'm still very worried. This will go to SCOTUS, and we're one Justice from disaster as long as Captain Bullshit controls appointments.
ReplyDeleteThe Clintons scattered lethal cancer seeds all over the judiciary and Federal agencies. The cancer spread slowed during GWB's terms, but did not go into remission. Now with Captain Bullshit, Mao's great grandson in office, the cancer seeds have become virulent, multiple tumors threatening to consume all. We must take back our government with solid originalists in 2012 to excise the cancer altogether or we are lost to it.
Meantime, pray for good health for our four staunch conservative Justices and Justice Kennedy, who said he will not retire as long as Captain Bullshit is president.

toadold,
ReplyDeleteI see Clinton-appointees not as loyal to Clinton, but bought by the same sources that bought Clinton and Obama, so they'll support the revolution.
I generally see Clinton, and certainly Obama judges as being true to an ideology. Clinton's southern appointees are more difficult to predict because the sponsoring Dem Senator may have been verging on switching to the GOP.
