Mass confusion reigns

Obama officially threatens to veto Republicans' 'cut, cap and balance' bill


Ahem. The balance bill is a balanced budget Amendment.  It would be sent to the states for ratification, not Obama's desk.  Mr. constitutional lawyer.  And this—    Couple says image of Jesus appears in Wal-Mart receipt.  Further analysis however shows that it's actually Rasputin's image.  Even weirder - these two stories are conjoined.

    This whole debt-ceiling issue may be a waste of time. I give you Section 4 of the 14th amendment:

    "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. "

    But, in the words of that constitutional scholar and ladies' man, Democrat Congressman Phil Hare, "I don't worry about the Constitution on this to be honest."
