Pappy And James Taranto:
An Associated Press dispatch
about California's budget dispute contains one of the most revealing
quotes we've seen in a long time, from the head of the California
Federation of Teachers:
"Our
polling shows us clearly that this is a winner, that very high numbers
of the public and likely voters agree that the wealthiest Californians
should contribute more," said Fred Glass, the federation's
communications director. "I think there's a growing recognition that
it's not that California's broke. We have plenty of money in this
state; it's just in other pockets."
It's like when Willie Sutton was asked why he robbed banks and said,
"That's where the money is." |
And have they thought to consider WTF they're going to do when all those pockets leave the state? Oh yeah, it'll be someone elses problem then.
ReplyDeleteDo they think they can rob the same pockets two years in a row?
ReplyDeleteLarry Gatlin sang, "All the gold in California is in a bank in Beverley Hills in somebody else's name." It's time to move it offshore because the looters are coming.
ReplyDeleteI have a surly personality, a playground sense of justice, and am available for "security" work in the golden state.

Wait... Isn't that a direct Michael pass the cheezeburgers Moore quote?
ReplyDeleteHe said it in Wisconsin, right?
