This must have occurred
to others. The acronym RINO (Republican In Name Only) has lost
it's meaning. The political behavior that once earned that
sobriquet (acting like a big government liberal) is now recognized as
SOP (standard operating procedure) for the GOP (Grand Old Party).
This has been true for some time, as the emergence of the Tea Party
movement attests. So what do we call people like Olympia Snowe
now? RIN? And wouldn't RINO now become a sought after
appellation by Tea Partiers? Help me. I'm old and confused.

ReplyDeleteDIABLO. Hmmmmm
ReplyDelete"So what do we call people like Olympia Snowe now?"
ReplyDeleteI would happily settle for "former US Senator" Olympia Snow.
Pascal was pondering the same thing awhile back. We came up with SKUNC. (Statists Knowingly Undermining National Charters) It works on all the bastages of all political stripes.
