Friedman - What a Schmuck

Today's Hilarity
NYT’s Friedman: ‘Way too soon to tell’ if media blew it vetting Obama the candidate

Vetting Obama

During the 2008 presidential election season, many Americans were captivated by then-candidate Barack Obama’s promises of hope and change. Many  argue that much of the media were taken in by the promises too. Nearly three years into the Obama presidency, is it fair to say the media were duped because they failed utterly to investigate the first thing about him?

On Sunday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” host Howard Kurtz asked New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman just that question. According to Friedman, the jury is still out.

“Way too soon to tell that kind of thing, I think,” Friedman said.

  1. Tommy Friedman = Obama's golf buddy/butt boy. He has zero credibility.

  3. "Vetting!?" Seriously!?
Unless "vetting" now means "collectively engaged in a virtual liplock on obama's anus"

  5. My question is:
Does Thomas Friedman take greater pleasure from the smell of BHO's asscheeks or from the smell of his own upper lip?
    Oh!...wait!.....They're one and the same.
    Nevermind.

  6. What economic principle was it that Friedman won the Nobel Prize for? and has it ever been successfully used? Or did his prize come, as most do today, as reward for being an obnoxious liberal who bad-mouths the United States' honest values, principles, and traditions? And why has nobody slashed his tires (in the good way of course)? Srsly.

  7. RTRKOF - Krugman is the NYT columnist who got a Nobel prize; Fryed man got a Pulitzer; both are bonkers from sniffing Uhbama's ass gas and both got their prizes just as you described. Nobody has slashed his tires because he married a bunch of inherited money and probably doesn't drive. His people do that for him, keeping the engine running so he doesn't shiver or sweat or worry about his carbon credits.

  8. *slaps head* I knew that but I am forever getting them confused with one another. Good thing this isn't my day job.

  9. As I understand it, your day job prepping the B-52, leading the Barn Army and keeping us plebes entertained and enlightened, at which you are the best, is a big job. Kinging is hard work, so don't sweat the small stuff.
