If you have ever wondered
about the government’s ability to control the civilian airwaves, you
will have your answer on November 9th.
On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television
and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the
first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS).
Only the President has the authority to activate EAS [code name Coml-rad] at the
national level, and he has delegated that authority to the Director of

agree? When you reach this chapter— this is
page one, what comes naturally to mind? That's right. That
doesn't
mean we should get panicky over this... this first ever flexing of
FEMA's muscle; but an alarm did sound back in Chapter.One. And
again
in every chapter since. I'm just saying.

Hmmmm......I hope you're right, Molon, but, some of my ancestors lived in the Shenandoah Valley in the early 1860's, and I'm pretty sure they had a somewhat different experience. They were most of them gone from there by 1870. Them what were still alive, of course.....just sayin'.

Molon: The army will side with the constitution. It's in their oath. Not "the people".
ReplyDeleteIf Obama follows all of the constitutional forms, he does not have to fear the army.
With Iraq vacated he will (I mean can) turn guns to butter-- Draw down the military to about 100,000 (75% gays and women) and that's that. We are actually at his mercy as we talk. A cowardly/Quisling congress, fellow-traveler media, and assorted goons that, when armed, will constitute his vaunted civilian Army.

Yes but Obobo is aredy in violation of the Constitution, trying to put the US under marshal law would be just the icing on the cake. And if this land was thron into another "civil war" I doubt the mil in it's entirety wold side with the administration, Some would but most wild side with their familys AKA the people.

This is merely a rhetorical exercise, a mental bit of gymnastics.
Okay. I've related a few times on this blog an exercise given to students by Sister Viola Marie lo these many years ago. She asked us to write down (this from the memory of an erstwhile 8-year-old) what acts by government should be taken as a call to action against that gummint? At the time we were studying our Revoltionary War, and the object was what was happening in Eastern Europe by the communists; that this would be apropos here never crossed my mind. I'm guessing it did her's, God bless her soul. But I remember that instruction.
