... on May 27, 2009, Obama released a memo about
how great the FOIA is, and how he was going to make it even better by
the power of his awesomeness:...
and now—
A proposed
revision to Freedom of Information Act rules would allow federal
agencies to lie to citizens and reporters seeking certain records,
telling them the records don't exist. The Justice Department has
proposed the change as part of a large revision of FOIA rules for
federal agencies. Specifically, the rule would direct government
agencies who are denying a request under an established FOIA exemption
to 'respond to the request as if the excluded records did not exist,'
rather than citing the relevant exemption. [STORY]

This is one of the many reasons I can't stand federal bureaucracies. They are as bad as insurance companies.
ReplyDeleteChuck, I think this transcends gummint bureaucracy foibles; this is EVIL.
ReplyDeleteI would agree, this is beyond a mere foible. This is willful, purposeful, intentional . . . . It's hiding the ball.
ReplyDeleteTar and feathers are on sale at Home Depot.
After I discovered that citizens are not allowed to lie to law enforcement under penalty of law, but that law enforcement was allowed to lie to citizens without penalty, I've pretty much believed that anything said by any government worker was a big honkin' lie, unless I could personally verify it.

This cancer can not be cured by the ballot.
ReplyDeleteBack to the Leftist Creed: Laws are to be followed only when expedient for the Ruling Class.
ReplyDeleteThe ballot might cure it, might not, but only as a first step. There must also be drastic consequences for abuse of authority and trust; e.g., Sandy Bergler, Jamie Gorelick, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson should still be in prison. John Walker and his fellow travellers of the same era should be long dead instead of wasting taxpayer money feeding them. Until such punishment is swift and sure, until the Left is made to feel consequences for their behavior, the Left will thumb their noses at the law as mere suggestions. They knowingly take advantage of a good and generous people and their open system of government and culture.

This is treason. We'll need rope.

Uncle Joe Stalin in the USSR had this feature. He had official government photos 'cleaned up' to indicate that individuals didn't even exist...
ReplyDeleteJust wait until all is electronic! You think PhotoShop is good? Heh, they can blend the electrons and you'll never know who/what/where/when nor why... Those who control the past control the future or something like that.
Reverend Wright? No such person. Bill Ayers? Who? Rezko? What does that word mean?
Teh Won got elected by using the law to expose(?) the records of his opponents, even sealed divorce proceedings. You think he won't 'adjust' those record?
Rog, you ain't no king, you're a convicted pederast and felon. The 'records' say so...
This is as close to blasphemy as you can have relating to people and their government.
