scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
I will miss Christopher
Hitchens. He once described himself on C-Span as being ''not just
liberal, but radical liberal.'' He attacked Mother Theresa, and could
indeed be the consummate liberal twat. But, unlike other Liberals Hitchens was principled.
Later in life it seemed to me that he become more of an
18th century liberal, and was closeted guilty pleasure for
me. And his command of the English language and acid
wit! Brilliant. I've chosen a moment from Bill
Maher's show in 2006 as my official eulogy.
This was one amazing man. Yes, like you, I had fundamental disagreements with him at over 50% frequency. But, he was able to stand his ground, explain his reasoning and that was so refreshing in a world full of knee-jerk, talking point liberals. His book about Orwell is mystifying, educational and quite engrossing. RIP, Chris.
In his life he did more harm than good just being the consummate liberal twat but of course he was much more awful than that. He will be sorely missed by the Filthy Left. Rest in Peace and may God have mercy on his tortured soul.
instead of gloating about him "finding out how much he was wrong" I would like to think that in his last moment upon this mortal coil, he found the eternal arms of Jesus, G-dspeed my favorite liberal

ReplyDeleteYou're right, Rodger. If he had been on The Five instead of that Belchel a-hole I'd have watched it.

Hitchens nailed Klinton better than anyone else, with his book No One Left To Lie To.
ReplyDeleteAnd right now he's learning how wrong he was... Bet he's not an atheist anymore...
ReplyDeleteProve that assertion, Chris.

ReplyDeleteOr maybe that god ( if he exists ) is not as much of a vicious hard-ass as a lot of christians seem to think.
