As you know, it only wastes
your time, and annoys the pig.
The Los Angeles Unified School District is only now learning that:

In an effort to
force school kids to eat "healthy", they banished things like burgers,
pizza and corn dogs from the district menu. What did they replace it
with?
$20 million in fresh produce in 2010 alone.
Other delectables offered were black bean burgers, pad thai (WTF?),
lentil & brown rice cutlets, and vegetarian tamales. All of which
were thrown in the trash, uneaten. Some enterprising yutes started
bringing kid approved food on campus, meeting market needs for what one
can assume is a reasonable profit.
So now, the LAUSD has - being highly educated educators - decided to
bring back most of the old menu.
My question is: What ever happened to lunchboxes?

Hey, Pad Thai is awesome. Best noodle dish, evah.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't really count - They only perform as a group on the Lillith Fair circuit. The sisters of the group play under a different name.

My Mother, God rest her soul, said this to me more than once:

You can lead a kid to veggies,

(What? Well, yeah, unless you're Mom.)
Every time I read "http://articles.latimes...", I see "latrine" in that string.
