Hofmeister is not the first to predict rising gas prices, although
others have forecast a rise to $4 a gallon.
He said while the Obama administration “is doing victory laps” about
new rules to raise domestic energy production, there are still
permitting delays for oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. The possibly
temporary defeat of TransCanada’s [ TRP 41.53 -0.33 (-0.79%) ]
Keystone Pipeline project throws in another monkey wrench. In short,
there should be more domestic drilling, not less, and the
administration has done little to encourage it, Hofmeister said.
“We have not had the kind of public policy support for domestic natural
resource production increases that would carry through into market
prices in the United States given the global demand and geopolitical
uncertainty that comes out of the [Persian] Gulf daily,” he said. [Full]
Translation: Obama has been undermining the economy of the United
States going forward.

This afternoon, I paid fifty bucks to fill up my tank (not an SUV). I hate having to pay that much, but the thing is, I can afford the fifty bucks. For lots of people, fifty bucks is a half-day's pay (or more). So, who is Obama really sticking it to?
ReplyDeleteHe sickens me.
Jim-PRS~ He's sticking it to "the poor" who will vote for him *again* when he offers them gubmint welfare gasoline vouchers. Eh????
ReplyDeleteAfter all, isn't that his base?
What a racket. Blame the oil companies for high prices all the while raking more off the top than they take and creating a situation to make prices go up so he can blame them more so he can fund unsustainable "green" sources rake more money off the top there as well as make profits for supporters who will donate more money to the agenda and creating more poor people dependant on government to increase their voter base.
ReplyDeleteDamn. Now I feel the need to shoot something and the range is closed.
"Hofmeister is not the first to predict rising gas prices..." Wasn't that Obama?
ReplyDeleteK-nine, that's exactly the way it works. It reminds me of a similar scam being run on the tobacco companies. If I were the CEO of RJ Reynolds, for instance, I would get together with the other tobacco companies and hold a joint press conference to announce that, in the interests of the American people, we were going to suspend marketing of all tobacco products within the US. Then I would sit back and watch the riots and the politicians panic.
Oops! That was meself.

Jim-PRS, It's beyond sickening for me. I've developed a visceral hatred for that flap-jawed lying self indulgent traitor and all his apparatchiks who prop him up.
ReplyDelete"...has done little to encourage it"
Geddafuggouttahere!! He's actively blocked it. When the %$^&*(% will the people he hates and is shafting gonna wake up and yell ENOUGH!! Gingrich has popped Uhbama's balloon a few times, but I wish all the candidates would wage a verbal war against Uhbama, with details, especially chalk talks linking personal affiliations, numbers, dates and dollars against the buffoon. Visual expositions make things very clear, much clearer than words. It's important the candidates do it, because besides mass murder and the daily Uhbama follies, its the only thing that gets press coverage.

Jim-PRS,
ReplyDeleteRand Paul said it at CPAC.
Obama has sacrificed our national security, a robust free economy, and low-income people's health on the altar of commie-worship.
I congratulate myself for having the foresight to buying a motorscooter that gets 90 mpg and can (downhill with tailwind) get my 226lb bag of muscle up to 60 mph. I am such a genius.
