Bob Shieffer v. Rick Santorum

Bob Shieffer (as proxy for Obama media) v. Rick Santorum

Bob Schieffer announces this Sunday's Face the Nation line-up: GOP Presidential Candidate, former Sen. Rick Santorum (PA), who's leading Mitt Romney among likely Republican primary voters, according to a CBS/NYT poll.

I think you'll want to watch this morning's Bob Shieffer interview of Rick Santorum (Face the Nation)for 3 reasons.
  1. Schieffer  here is the smug face of the smarmy, condescending Obama media that we so love to hate.
  2. Rick Santorum does better than quite nicely in the face of Shieffer's posturing
  3. MoSup is in love, and has found her candidate.

  2. Bobby was smarmier than usual, but Santorum made him correct himself. Was that a first? Dunno, but it was the first time I have ever hear Schieffer do so.

    Overall, Schieffer 0, Santorum 5.

  3. I can't like santorum. As much as I want to.
I don't like his support of the unions or his government intervention into industry stance.
I just can't reconcile myself with this.
I just don't know what to do.

  4. I head these things last year when Santorum them. Didn't like 'em then and don't like 'em now.

I'll still vote for him over Obama. Of course, I can't think of too many Americans I wouldn't say that about.

  7. Sarah Palin will NEVER be a VP candidate again.

And yes, Santorum is muy smarmy.

  8. Like all of us, I'm anyone but Obama, including the syphlitic camel. I continue to support Mitt, coz I truly like the guy and think he's the next Eisenhower.

It does amuse me, however, to consider a brokered convention. Will Ron Paul and Newt be kingmakers? Palin steps in? Jeb Bush is well in the running. Daniels or Ryan?

    I'm for a Romney/Christie combo.

    USA!!! UAS!!! USA!!!

PS: Oh my gosh Rodg, please make these turing words go away, they make me look like a retard, trying 3 and 4 times.

So, if Santorum wins the nomination, you'll all stay home and give the election to Obama?

    Yeah, that'll learn 'em!

  10. Christie:

    Isn't sure about AGW
    Lowered state flags for WHO?

If that isn't an indication of poor judgement (at best, what is?

The fucking house is burning down, and the kids can't get out.

Put the fire out first. We can argue about what color paint to use later.

  13. Well as Karl Rove said today, there have been 5 primaries and only a fraction of the delegates are committed.
I'm not a Rove fan but given that the big block of Texas delegates probably won't be available until after Super Tuesday. Listening to the MSM trying to sell the Idea that the Republican primary is already decided or that it is going to be a brokered convention is premature in my opinion. I've noticed the Gingrich got some more money and Perry is forming up a Super Pac and will be campaigning and raising funds for Gingrich. Of course that is still just noise and static. Sometime around May things ought to clear up.

  15. Alear - Blogger no longer allows dispensing with "turning words." They worry I may get spammed. Yes, Blogger (GOOGLE) is in full-blown Nanny State mode.

To Kristopher and others. I will of course vote for the anti-Bama candidate, but at this juncture I'm hoping for a brokered convention. The only chance for us to get a proper candidate. The comment legend (just above) expresses my attitude about this current pack.

  16. Unfortunately, the ABO program gives US O-lite.

It's time to turn to the local level -- where we can actually DO something. Is your local gubbmint a member of ICLEI? find out at iclei.org.
