THE GOOD
In response to the question “What percentage of the American
legislature do you think are card carrying Marxists, Internationalists,
or Socialists?” West claimed that there are: “78 to 81 members of the
Democrat Party that are members of the Communist party.”
When asked if they hide it, West responded, “No, they actually don’t
hide it, it’s called the Congressional
Progressive Caucus.”
THE BAD
Later, however, after the remarks were mentioned in an article in the
Palm Beach Post, West’s campaign manager, Tim Edson, told a reporter
for The Daily Caller that West “was making a jab at the Congressional
Progressive Caucus, and not making an outlandish, McCarthyesque
allegation.”
I'm not picking on Alan West, this is standard practice.
- "West’s campaign manager, Tim Edson
..." corrected him. I'm was looking for Rep. West's
follow-up quote ' I can speak for
myself without the help of weasel-wording.'" - Didn't find
it.
- I'm not familiar with any
"outlandish, McCarthyesque allegation.”
Well, I blame him if he didn't rap Edson's knuckles.

I don't see anything outlandish by calling a progressive a rat-bastard commie.
ReplyDeleteTim Edson should be made to eat his own doo-doo. Nothing like sugar coating the ratbastards and acting like we're all just good buddies from different neighborhoods. Fuq him and West. West is Black first (Pigford) and American second, count on it. He's probably a closet Commie too. I don't trust him.
ReplyDeleteThe CPC advocates "universal access to affordable, high quality healthcare", fair trade agreements, living wage laws, the right of all workers to organize into labor unions and engage in collective bargaining, the abolition of significant portions of the USA PATRIOT Act, the legalization of same-sex marriage, US participation in international treaties such as the climate change related Kyoto Accords, strict campaign finance reform laws, a complete pullout from the war in Iraq, a crackdown on corporate welfare and influence, an increase in income tax rates on upper-middle and upper class households, tax cuts for the poor, and an increase in welfare spending by the federal government.
ReplyDeleteThe CPUSA stands for a $12/hour minimum wage for all workers, national universal health care, and opposition to privatization of United States Social Security. Economic measures such as increased taxes on "the rich and corporations", "strong regulation" of the financial industry, "regulation and public ownership of utilities", and increased federal aid to cities and states; opposition to the Iraq War and other military interventions; opposition to free trade treaties such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA); nuclear disarmament and a reduced military budget; various civil rights provisions; campaign finance reform including public financing of campaigns; and election law reform, including Instant Runoff Voting.
I don't see much of a difference.
And why is Bill Cosby standing there holding a sign?
ReplyDeleteoy vey ole'
Mr. Jello-Chocolate-Pudding, I-Bought-Rights-To-Little-Rascals-But-Won't-Realease-Them-Cause-I-Think-They're-Racist was on CNN saying that Trayvon's death was caused by a gun.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't this man on CNN stating that Rosie (and Oprah) are fat because of spoons?
El Jefe: ... because of spoons?
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess blaming troughs is also off the table...
Cosby has been a stand-up guy for the most part. Remember please, that he lost his only son to a stupid nitwit carrying a $10 gun. I think this brought back the pain.
He at least had the courage to place a little blame on the 'parents' who gave their children no guidance and a poor example, saying that they should be in arms about the 'education' they are getting at government schools, that they should grow up and take responsibility for at least a portion of their situation.
Plus, he's over 80 now...
