Brings me back to school days. Funny what you remember. Chemistry students of that era were required to learn German, since so much of the foundational literature was published in that language. And also because the faculty were sadists, but I digress.
One day an anti-Reaganite goof casually asked if anyone knew the German word for "peace." Somebody said "stück."
