Republican Pollster Advises Party To Embrace Gay Marriage ...
Why is a pollster telling
a
major political party what it should "embrace"? And worse, why do
the
GOP have a history of taking heed? Political parties coalesce
around
shared ideas and common values. In short, if you like our vision,
sign
up; we will stanchly defend and advance those ideals. Democrats
are
about controlling
people's lives because they'll botch the deal on their own, and they never, ever, stray (in practice).
It was Top Republican
braniacs who came up with the "big
tent" idea. WTF? Forget who you
are. Forget whatever convictions you may have; the way to
win is to pander to the whiner of the hour. |
"How
can we have polling data touted by all the media which shows
overwhelming national support, except in the black community, wherever
you go, of gay marriage, and yet every time it's come up on the ballot,
loses. It hasn't even come close to winning when it's put to a
vote. It's just like Obama's likability numbers. The people
that give him a job approval (unintelligible) support health care, 30%,
35% still support Obamacare. Sixty-five percent likability.
Nothing gels here."

When not telling the GOP how to be more like the people whose very
ideas, if not guts, they ought to hate, they instruct the Catholic
Church how to sparkle.

birth control, ... embrace
abortion ... embrace women priests, .... embrace
gay marriage, and no
church on Sunday. You 'll get
more people to jine-up Mr.
Pope.
The GOP have listened to the "experts, and look what it's got
them
- and us. The GOP are still fighting the Tea Party for chrisake,
despite getting clobbered by us in 2010. The
Pope however has principles, and has taken
a stand for a smaller church of more ardent believers
over a
larger community that relies on what he sees as diluted doctrine.
That's the way it's supposed to be done.

I notice at the bottom of that site there is a hat tip to an Andrew Sullivan......that pretty much taints the whole thing for me. The pollster in all probability has no polling data just an agenda.
ReplyDeleteHe can blow me first
ReplyDeleteI don't know about everyone else, but I stopped listening or reading Sullivan before the 2004 elections. He'd gone all against W in Iraq by then, repeating declamations that the war is lost, and so on. Apparently the parade he jumped out in front of had gone down a different street and he had to do something. No honesty, no conviction, just 'who likes me?'.
ReplyDeleteUgh.

Sullivan was the first "blogger" I donated money to. As he grew militantly gay he lost his moral compass on everything else. I color him "zero."
ReplyDeleteWasn't Sullivan found to be the kind of guy would would go all bareback on your ass without telling you he has AIDS?
ReplyDeleteI dunno, is he Anon?
ReplyDeleteSullivan is definitely the one who went nuts on Sarah Palin and who was Trig's mother. The Atlantic essentially told him to shut up, then went further and let him go. He is as much a man of his convictions as is Teh Won.
ReplyDeleteQueers are lurking everywhere.
ReplyDeleteSome of them are even Pollsters.
Maybe Gunnery Sergeant Hartman was thinking of Sullivan when he said:
ReplyDelete"I bet you're the kind of guy that would **** a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you."
