scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
...in other news, I just finisheed watching "How Hitler Lost the War". That part was interesting, but what was more interesting (and relevant) was how he came to power and the parallels between him and a certain U.S. president. ("Came from nowhere...").
King Rodger, I am totally sold on Roku. I bought one yesterday at Wallyworld and installed it today. I have been playing Netflix trouble free on it all day. DAMN that is one cool little piece of technology. You were right and I only bought it on your recommendation. Thank you and now back to 1941! I love old movies...the new ones seem to suck more and more with very few exceptions.
I bought the 98 dollar version and love it. When FIOS does that to me I will be very unhappy. I pay for the better service (not quantum at 200 a month) but, still the video was perfect - no lag or pixelation. I was impressed - of couse Mrs B was nonplussed......
First of the year, I picked up a Tivo Premiere. The Netflix interface was dog, so I stayed with the DVD hookup. Pandora, OTOH, was far superior and is what's playing now. I did buy a subscription to Pandora, to be rid of the commercials and an ostensible higher quality (I think I can hear it, but I may be fooling myself.)
Then, my condo went wireless, and Tivo came out with a new version of Netflix. So, my whole internet bill went from $42 to $9, and cable TV cut in half. And, Netflix comes in flawlessly. I recommend highly Better off Ted (Portia whathername De la Rossi is to die for).

ReplyDeleteROKU is the $50 gift that keeps on giving (until the Verizons impose broadband restrictions).
