scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Probably a good pick, but I am now so militantly situated that I could only be satisfied by someone who might use the opportunity to strangle Biden. I don't think Ryan will do that. Figuratively maybe, but not for reallies.
The Ryan pick reminds me of what I felt at the time of the Palin pick. Of course I could never hate Romney as much as I hate McCain. Romney "helped" destroy the People's Republic of MA (who cares about MA if they are stupid enough to elect people like "the Swimmer"?) while McCain has been a consistent force for the destruction of the entire Republic. But I feel some of the same hope that I felt when he picked Palin.
I wish I felt like Steve in Greensboro, but that's a feeling you can't feign. Then again, it was Sarah's acceptance speech that really stirred my ad the nation's juices, and demonstrated who she was, so maybe Ryan can do the same. I really can't remember ever hearing Ryan stump, so maybe ...
My hope is that the reason Romney picked Ryan is that he is going to make the election about how Barack Milhous Mugabe and the Dems are intentionally bankrupting the country, part of a Dem Cloward-Piven strategy. Why pick Ryan otherwise? Why not another RINO? But I am an optimist.
One of those Van Nuys pens showed up in my pocket and I wondered how it got there. Obviously I stole someone's pen, but for the life of me, I can't remember. As I live no where near Van Nuys, CA, I didn't get it from the clinic.
Hey Rodge, this is a great article that talks about Ryan having a "why am I here" moment and saying, lets reform the budget and take out entitlements. It was unpopular, but he did it anyway with out approval from the top. Says He isn't a stumper but a policy wonk. Great read. Give it 5 stars. Drudge is running this under "How Paul Ryan became intellectual leader of Republican party..."
Lotsa great stuff there at worldwidefred.com!

ReplyDeleteDid I just say that out loud?

ReplyDeleteThe GOP shut Palin down and even had FN demonize her when she tried to tell the truth about Obama.
ReplyDeleteWill Ryan talk? I bet he don't.

ReplyDeleteAnybody but Barack Milhous Mugabe.
