A half-dozen or so senatorial candidates have been
endorsed by Palin this summer, including last week’s winner in Texas, Ted
Cruz.
Somehow, Palin has achieved celebrity status since
the 2008 election. How many failed vice presidential candidates and
former Alaska governors end up with book deals and reality TV shows?
With an estimated net worth of $12 million?
When Palin took to the makeshift stage in the
middle of a Missouri farm field, she was dressed more for the part of
Hollywood celebrity than serious politician. I know someone’s going to
remind me that just last week, I said it was sexist
to focus on the wardrobes of women in politics.
But it was hard for me to take Palin seriously
dressed as she was.
First, her shoes: Five-inch wedges. Her black
capris weren’t quite skin-tight but tight enough, and her t-shirt with
its Superman logo (a Steelman campaign shirt emblazoned with “Our
freedom. Our fight.”) emphasized her figure. She never once removed her
oversized sunglasses.
One
gets the feeling that Ms. Reese does understand politicians
with no verifiable background whatever, who are only effective when
reading a script from a teleprompter, ahem. Still, the highlight
for
me was this comment made by a Barn Army-an Ralph Gizzup. We're
everywhere!

If she was a true intellectual, she'd realize the combination of intelligence and beauty were admirable qualities. Since she's a liberal, she's only pissed because she can't wear a Superman t-shirt in public.
ReplyDeleteThe classic definition of an intellectual is someone who is educated beyond their abilities.
ReplyDeleteFrom whence this definition anon?

ReplyDeleteHey Rodge, Just for shits and giggles, post a pic of Diana Reese and Sarah Side by side...
Jealousy much????
http://www.dianajreese.com/images/headshot.jpg
I'm 99 percent sure that the pic is of the same person .. the contact number on the website is kansas city and the article says the writer is from kansas city.
Bullseye

Sarah looks fantastic and the Left can't stand that. A smart classy good looking conservative woman...and now rich? Terrific!
ReplyDeleteOoof, Diana hasn't been boned since the Eisenhower administration.
ReplyDeleteCasca
Diana, you indebted wench, shut up and get back in your Cadillac!
ReplyDelete"The classic definition of an intellectual is someone who is educated beyond their abilities."
ReplyDeleteIf not H.L. Mencken, then T. Jefferson.
.
Just attribute it to anyone you want, Rodge. Everyone else does.
ReplyDeleteThis critique of Sarah's clothing, as a reflection of her seriousness as a politician, is quite comical.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Secretary of State (HRC) who looks like a 250 lb. sorority girl with her fake long hair (I forget what women call fake hair that they have woven into what's left of their post-menopausal scalp).
For reasons I can't comprehend, Hillary is trying to look 30 - 40 years younger, apparently not grasping that planting her tired, aged face in amongst blond pigtails creates a frightening contradiction.
A conservative male pundit would be castigated by the NOW, Obama and others if he critiqued Hillary or Nancy Pelosi's clothing and appearance.
"Not because I’m a fan or even agree with her ideology, but to see what all the fuss has been about."
ReplyDeleteBecause, God knows, you'd never be able to find that out by reading anything the Media has ever said about her ...this article included.

I congratulate whassername who wrote this: likely the first time in her life she's ever been correct.
ReplyDeleteOutfit is hideous.
But the glasses are not "oversized."
1/2 FAIL.
