scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Song written by my North Carolina friend Mike Cross and recorded on his second album "Born in the Country" back in '75 or '76. If anyone thinks this is funny, I urge you to track down *all* of his music which ranges from hilariously funny stuff to beautiful love songs to Scottish fiddle tunes to a tribute to Leadbelly on his last disc "Crossing Carolina." Seriously. This isn't his version but Mike Cross is a little known treasure.
I have heard this particular recording attributed to various people, but it is Colin Paige recorded live at Foran's Bar in downtown Detroit. I used to have it on vinyl. GrinfilledCelt

Here is one of my favorites: Finnegans Wake, as sung by the Irish Rovers
(with words so you can understand just what in heck they are actually saying)
Here's an family Irish Crispness video. (Assuming you have a dysfunctional family). Funny.
