scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Pffft, such limited thinking. This raises entrepreneurial opportunities in my mind. Anything that can be recorded, can be rewritten. I see rich rewards awaiting those who invent devices that enable owners to control their automobile data recorders.
Have they tried to install black boxes on firearms yet? I pretty sure some one is wanting to try it. I notice they try to sneak in more gun control and firearm sales increase and they try another method to control firearms and firearm sales increase. Obama may end up starting a civil war and creating another Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Sulla didn't just kill off a few political enemies he dang near wiped out some social classes.
C'mon, the glass is half full. Soon enough they'll be hackable, and you'll be able to drive as fast as you want. When you get a ticket, just break in to the sucker and change the recorded speed at the time and place of the ticket to the speed limit, and take it to the court.
"Sulla used his armies to march on Rome twice, and after the second he revived the office of dictator, which had not been used since the Second Punic War over a century before. He used his powers to enact a series of reforms to the Roman constitution, meant to restore the balance of power between the Senate and the tribunes; he then stunned the Roman World (and posterity) by resigning the dictatorship, restoring constitutional government, and after his second Consulship, retiring to private life." We will end up like Cuba with sixty year old cars on the road to avoid the black boxes (actually we are headed that way regardless of the black boxes). I think I can keep my old cars going until I can't drive any longer.
I qued up "The Last Enemy" last evening and managed to get through the first 4 episodes. Parts were painfully slow but I am enjoying the mini-series. It's a bit scary but I take solace in knowing the the government will likely screw it up.
And the last words most commonly recorded? 'Hold my beer and watch this!'
