The
map published by the Journal News on Saturday allows readers to zoom in
on red dots that indicate which residents in the two New York counties
are licensed to own pistols or revolvers. It had prompted more than
2,300 comments as of Thursday.
Janet Hasson, president of the Journal News Media Group, defended the
decision in a statement on Wednesday. [Full]
Aside
from tossing rules of good journalism in favor of pushing the agenda of
America's left-wing, I can't think of a more irresponsible action than
what the Journal News did here. Here's the NRA's
reasoned response. Here's CNN grilling
Christopher Fountain. Still, the left are famous for mounting
personal attacks against people they don't agree with, and are seldom
if ever challenged. This time they paid for it.

Wow - those media-tards just don't get it, do they?
ReplyDeleteButch
I am a resident of this area and a Pistol License Holder. These dirt bags are fierce anti gun zealots. This is the second time they've done this. The first was a downloadable data file back in 2006, this time it's a interactive map that anyone can sit around in their bvd's and pull up.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for them to publish the area list for HIV/AIDS infected residents, along with all the women who have had abortions from the area, and the recipients of Welfare that I'm paying for not to mention the illegal aliens that are on the dole.
Just call me a optimist though, cause I've been waiting for the above list since the last time they publish my name and address as a "legal Permit Holder".

[Once a dirt bag, pathetic lib, always a pathetic dopey lib.]
Difference is that licensed gun holders wont harass those people where the libs will totally bother gun holders.
ReplyDeleteIt's been mentioned elsewhere, so now the cat-burglars, rapists, etc. know which homes NOT to break into.
ReplyDeleteKellyFromMesquite
Actually, criminals now know which homes TO break into, if they are looking to steal guns. Laws in New York City and State being what they are, when these people are at work they are not keeping the guns with the. If I were a licensed gun owner in this area, that's what I would be concerned with.
ReplyDeleteTom--but what if they did? Evening phone calls to discuss their views, picketers outside their homes (you know--union tactics).
ReplyDeleteAnd why stop there? What if the next time someone in the T-P media slandered Christians, an angry mob moved into the lobby of their office building to protest (you know--Occupier tactics). Or maybe set fire to a few cars in the parking lot (you know--NBA championship victory celebration tactics)? Do you think they'd continue to attack Christianity?
The T-P media are cowards and they keep doing these things because they know there will be no consequences. And that needs to change.

Sometimes turnabout is fair play, eh?
Well I saw an article on the "American Thinker Blog" on supposing goblin uses the posted addresses. Excerpt:
ReplyDelete"Well picture this scenario: highly-paid, business executive type husband at home with three daughters while much lower paid wife is away on job-related travel; gun-seeking burglar breaks in, kills husband and one daughter before shooting other two daughters in the face, leaving them alive but permanently brain-damaged.
To a personal injury lawyer, that scenario is the sound of a big dollar slot machine that just keeps going and going.

ReplyDeleteMore in depth for "proximate cause" and "but/for" civil law suit possibilities against Gannet.
My very favorite quote:
ReplyDelete"If gun owners were as violent as anti-gun zealots say they are, there wouldn't be any anti-gun zealots."
But that could change.
The elites think they are so fu*^in' smart. The assh*les outed all of the people that can't protect themselves.
