I'd like to toast—
Bought
this Cuisinart
CPT-140BK 4-Slice Black Toaster
a few weeks ago from W00T! $44.99 shipped. Our 4th toaster in
less
than four years, because they all sucked. This handles 4
slices, and
is wide and deep enough for the thickest breads/bagels. Even better, it toasts
evenly, perfectly, and quickly. The best toaster we've ever
owned. FWIW. |

Cuisinart does make the best stuff. Their food processors are more expensive than the Hamilton Beach food processors I used to buy, but they are also considerably more robust. Far more powerful and heavier duty motors.
ReplyDelete...ummm, it looks "blue" from here??
ReplyDeleteSold Out!
ReplyDeleteJust got a 1970's Hamilton Beach from Ebay for 30 bucks, looks and works like new.
ReplyDeleteA toaster oven is far more versitile.

I agree on the versatility thing, but a toaster oven for toast, at least in our case (the first of the 4 we dumped was a TO) was overkill, and delivered poopy results. No, this is clearly the best toaster in the universe.
ReplyDeleteNot a word yet on OJ's pal Bob Costas and his Second Amendment rant? Same sort of thing that got Rush and Hank Williams' Jr canned...

regarding Bob Costas
ReplyDeletePretty good audio and comments.
I too have had a few crap toasters recently, one did not even fit regular sized bread slices ! My biggest disappointment was a Krupp, once the makers of the finest artillery in the world, now "Big Bertha" lets China produce their junk toasters.
ReplyDeleteDarn sold out and I was in the market for a new toaster.

Just got back from Macy's with a white model. Put a slice of bread in the #1 slot and it came out burned on one side and hardly toasted on the other using the lowest heat setting. Not happy here. This my second Cuisinart toaster that doesn't work. They just don't make them like they used to.
ReplyDelete3 1/2 stars for the hot dog toaster on amazon. Just sayin'.

Take it back Don. Who knows. Maybe I got a multifunctional toaster that rendered it functional?
