It sounds like Dad is a tobacco farmer. Uh oh. The greatest sin to the christian Left is smoking. Baby killing; cool, smoking not so much.
That said he did a good job giving away his daughter but then I would expect a Christian to have the right attitude toward marriage. No tears from me, just respect for the man. Pray for the son-in-law.
