The Answer to "WHY"

We
keep hearing insistent claims that if Republicans don't pass amnesty
yesterdayit will be the end of the party.
Can I see the math on that? I can see why bringing in 30 million
new
Democratic voters would be good for the Democrats, but how does it help
Republicans? Maybe conservatives shouldn't blindly trust the
calculations of the guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his
class at the U.S. Naval Academy.
 If
I were a Democrat, I would have tried to sneak this bill past
Republicans by proposing amnesty only after reaching some easily rigged
benchmarks. But, apparently, Chuck Schumer knows elected Republicans
better than I do.
Step One: Everyone's amnestied. Step Two:
After they're amnestied, they can bring in all their relatives.
If Hispanics voted 50.1 percent for Democrats, amnesty would be a bad
deal for Republicans. But, in fact, they vote 70 percent to 80 percent
for Democrats. How did it become an urgent priority for Republicans to
bring in 30 million new voters, 80 percent of whom will vote
Democratic?
Democrats want 30 million new voters and they will say anything
to get there:
-- It's a crisis! Illegal immigrants are "living in the
shadows"!
That's not a "crisis." At most -- and
this is
highly dubious -- it's a crisis for the illegal immigrants. But
evidently, "living in the shadows" is at least better than living in
Guadalajara. Otherwise, there's an easy solution. I GOT 30
MILLION REASONS
In
just 1021 words, Coulter says everything that need be said about
illegal immigration and what's behind it. All previous (and
future)
attempts are now rendered moot and useless. Anyone who believes
she is
wrong is a coward, a dull-witted carbuncle, and not deserving of U.S.
citizenship. Don't even bother to try and refute this. I

Bottom line: How can anybody with half a brain think that Schumer, who is very, very bright, persistent and very hard working, whatever you think about his politics, would go along with any legislation that would provide any election benefit to Repubs?

To the Left it's as much or more about guns and feet on the ground as it is about votes. Mexicans don't like (White) Americans and never have. There it is. When she admits that she's back in the fold.

Romney would have lost with even 70% of Hispanic vote.

Are you kidding? Guadalajara is one of the great cities of the world. It is far enough south that it never snows, and has enough altitude that it is never too hot. It gets plenty of rain so it is always green, but is well drained enough that it never floods, and hasn't had a in decades.
ReplyDeleteThe people consider themselves the best dressed, most fashionable, and upscale in Mexico. Courtesy is taken seriously as a social value.
The muralist Orozco lived there and painted hundreds of of pieces, other artists and sculptors have spent much time there. The old town with it's Spanish Colonial buildings is a museum, a clean and tidy museum. The city is beautiful everywhere.
The Libertad Mercado is the largest open air market in the Western Hemisphere, 4 stories x 120 acres of goods, over 2000 kiosks and stores; it is said that if it is made in Mexico, you can get it there. There are even car lots and model homes.
Now Juarez, Juarez. That's a pit.
