Devere is living on the mainland after serving his life sentence
ReplyDeleteWTF? I guess heavy chooming enables reincarnation.
Or life sentences aren't.
Nice crowd Captain Bullshit hung with. Actually, better than his current crop of scummy associates.

This whole "Reefer Madness" concept of marijuana is something that conservatives just need to get over already. It's laughably inaccurate, and it makes the Right look like prudish hypocrites!
ReplyDeletePot is not only FAR less of a problem than alcohol, but it has actual benefits where alcohol does not. If alcohol is to remain legal, there is absolutely no logical reason for pot to be illegal. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either simply ignorant of the facts or has an agenda.

ReplyDeleteThe same can be said for nicotine and the left.

Having a close friend that I watched descend into hell and kill himself because of a pot addiction I call you an uneducated idiot anon2112.... and a stupid pothead1

Don't worry about 2112... he won't remember where he posted, so he won't be back...
ReplyDeleteThough I don't think a naturally growing weed should be considered a 'controlled substance.' It's a weed.
THC is supposed to stay in the bloodstream for a long time after imbibing, where ethanol is gone within hours. Driving could be a problem ...
Personally, I think one can become habituated to marijuana if not actually addicted. I've known people who were long-time smokers who seemed to need the pot just like smokers need the nicotine. And many years smoking, I know the 'urge' for a cigarette can become very bothersome.

Agreed, Luigi! It's all the same nanny state nonsense. And since I'm not that well known around here, I should point out that I'm as conservative as they come.
ReplyDeleteDien Cai Dua:
First, it's physically impossible to become addicted to marijuana. The drug doesn't work that way. Your friend had a psychological addiction to intoxication (or his pot was laced with something bad), and I'm truly sorry that he did that to himself. People die all the time from alcohol addiction (something that actually exists). Should we ban alcohol again?
Second, not a pot head. Haven't smoked pot in more than 20 years. But having smoked it before in my life, I've been disabused of any notions that this particular drug is inherently dangerous, and the medical benefits alone should be enough to decriminalize it. Not to mention the "it's none of government's business what intoxicant I choose" argument. This is absolutely no different than alcohol prohibition or the aforementioned nanny state tobacco BS.
Oh, and notice how I refrained from hurling personal insults in both my posts? You should take note.
