I have a very large collection of Jean Shepherd radio programs, mostly from the 1960s. He had a huge number of commercials each night, many of which you can't hear the likes of anymore. Ads for cigarettes, beer, oil for your auto, and so on. If you listen to the shows, you get the commercials, in context, and that's great.
ReplyDeleteBob and Ray were funny guys. Bob was Chris Elliot's father.
ReplyDeleteXM channel 82 is all classic radio shows. Keeps the wife from renting crappy audio books from Cracker Barrel when we travel.
ReplyDeleteFound a little nasty that's been bothering me a while. Some sites, when I go there, are plastered with ads, many reflecting sites I've been to, like so much foliage that I have to clear away when I get to that page.
ReplyDeleteSo today I notice the word Geniusbox on the ad blocks. I looked up how to get rid of it, when one source said it was a program. Program? Maybe someone put a program on my computer. So I looked at my Control Panel, and sure enough it was there! So I uninstalled it, which took some time, and it was done. After checking a couple of sites where it's been a problem, it's fixed. I wonder if that program had anything to do with the certificate problem. We'll see.
