Saturday
night I happened upon across "The
Princess Bride," in progress. Of course I had to
watch to it's conclusion—for
maybe the 15th time. As the credits rolled I was reminded that
MFCS Rob Reiner directed two of my all time favorite movies; Bride and
"This Is Spinal Tap." Oh
well, Barbara Streisand has a nice voice too
- when she's singing. But that's not what I'm wanting to say.
Having
decided that Princess Bride
is among my all-time fav movies, I set to add 9 more and make a nice
post. Out of the blue the mind grabbed a film I used to
watch in the early 80's, on Sunday mornings, on A&E. I forgot
the name and had to Google "two french soldiers fight a series of
duels"? Duh.

To my knowledge this film has not aired publicly for a quarter century,
and
I've looked for it. Amazon and Google will charge $2.99 to watch
it,
but Putlocker
has a free download. I cannot imaging anyone giving
less than 4 stars to this 5 star film. You're welcome. See ya later. |
