This is a terrific test. And it shows results in a number of ways. It
surely indicates that the majority of Americans don't know what's going
on.
It's astonishing that so many people got less than half right. The
results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn't have a clue, and
that's pretty scary.
There are no tricks here -- just a simple test to see if you are
current on your information. This is quite a
good quiz and the
results are somewhat shocking.
Test your knowledge with the challenge of 12 questions, then be ready
to shudder when you see how others did: If you get less than half
correct, please cancel your voter registration.

Perfect score here, Boss. But then I'm a news junkie.
ReplyDeleteThe only question I had trouble with was the number of female SCOTUS Justices. I know 3 of them are supposed to be female but then so is Chaz Bono.
12/12 too. None of the stats are surprising, by the way.
ReplyDeleteFrom the response demographic stats i conclude that women should not vote.
ReplyDelete/runsaway
I further conclude only men over 50 should vote.
ReplyDeleteThat or the prospective voter must pass a civics/history/current events test to vote.

OK - I got 11 of 12 correct only because Question No. 7 was a loaded question and for the most part the choices given were all manipulated government figures anyway. We all know that the "correct" answer is a farce and has been for these past 6-1/2 years.
ReplyDeleteHere's how I was scolded for that one: This graph shows the trend in what national statistic? You answered "The inflation rate" - The correct answer is "The unemployment rate"
Also, although I gave the right answer to No. 9, about the women on the Supreme Court, I must agree with Ralph Gizzip. Had they ask how many didn't have balls, I know I would have missed that one too - But wait - we only had up to 4 to choose from.

The fact that less than 95 percent of the country scores less than 100% on this quiz (progressively skewed though it is) should scare the shit out of us all.

Hey, I only missed one!
ReplyDeleteSrsly, missing the pipeline, Yosafzai', Pope's hometown, unemployment graph, what Elizabeth Warren looks like, the US Senate Senate makeup, or even the Obamacare tax question only indicate that you're not a news junky.
Not being able to locate Cuba, or identity the Nork leader does indicate an unhealthy detachment
Missing the last question however—Are you MALE FEMALE — is a real red flag and indicates you might be Bruce Jenner.
Forgot about the softball-playing SCJustice. I claim the forgetting as a self-defense coping mechanism.
ReplyDeleteAnswered the bogus "unemployment" question the way they wanted me to. I still claim polls are designed to shape opinion, not measure it.

are you claim jumping me?
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Summerfallwinterspring choice is inspired.
ReplyDelete(That's #3, a character from "Howdy Doody," for you young whippersnappers.)
10 out of 12. Not bad for someone with a broken hymen who votes. Missed Who is Malala Yousafzai, and chose 4 over 2 on the senate.
ReplyDelete12/12. Not bad for a non American who lives in the Far East.
ReplyDeleteI blame Rodger.
(Malaga was a luck guess, but it seemed right)
Got all 12 but guessed on one.
ReplyDelete11 of 12. Missed the women in the SCOTUS. Dur.
ReplyDelete11/12
ReplyDeleteCouldn't give a damn about where the Pope is from.
Missed the pope one because I don't give a shit about the vatican's nonsense.
ReplyDeleteToo bad there wasn't a political affiliation demo.

11/12. I simply don't remember what Fauxcahontas looks like. Short blonde hair.
