Metzger "Hat Dance" sent me these pics. I've been an inveterate
collector of pictures found on the net
since 1992, so it's a treat to find iconic images I've
never seen before. This picture of Jimmy Stewart, home on
leave, and
sitting in his dad's Indiana, Pennsylvania hardware store, really
resonated. He was the real-deal solid American hero, and
real life nice guy. And, talk about tolerant! Even though Jimmy was a
staunchly
conservative American, his best friend in Hollywood was Henry
Fonda, a rat bastard commie mofo. So, who are today's

I never understood an actor or singer spouting their political views too loudly. By definition you would offend half of your fans. Hubris?

Wow! At first glance I thought that was a Norman Rockwell painting. But seeing how it's Jimmy Stewart, that's an even BETTER snapshot of real Americana.
