Jimmy Stewart and more

Ron Metzger "Hat Dance" sent me these pics.  I've been an inveterate collector of pictures found on the net since 1992, so it's a treat to find iconic images  I've never seen before.  This picture of Jimmy Stewart, home on leave,  and sitting in his dad's Indiana, Pennsylvania hardware store,  really resonated.  He was the real-deal solid American hero,  and real life nice guy.  And, talk about tolerant! Even though Jimmy was a staunchly conservative American, his best friend in Hollywood was Henry Fonda, a rat bastard commie mofo. So, who are today's ...whoops; I'm getting carried away. Sorry.

  1. I never understood an actor or singer spouting their political views too loudly. By definition you would offend half of your fans. Hubris?

  9. Wow! At first glance I thought that was a Norman Rockwell painting. But seeing how it's Jimmy Stewart, that's an even BETTER snapshot of real Americana.
