The Terps get
a crack at Goliath in Columbus next weekend.
Lots
of excitement here. The Terps are the preseason #1 pick in Hoops;
and
have a chance to be the #1 worst FBS team by season's end. Coach
Randy
Edsall's previous best loss was 68-0 against Florida State in
2013. This is a very important game, because if the Terps can lose
by, say, 70+
points, there's a good chance that he'll be fired on the spot! Will
Ohio State be able to set that record loss for the B1G? And free
us
of Edsall? I don't think so. OSU, while winning all their
games so
far, have done so in rather unconvincing fashion. I'll pick the
Buckeyes, but by a mere 42 points. You bastids! |

ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, buddy. Once upon a time, I was a Saints fan.
From, Ron in Ohio:
ReplyDeleteSorry Rog. I tried to warn you when the Terps stepped-up to the big time - The Big1 - Formerly the Big-10.
As an avid I-U (Indiana Hoosiers) fan and former undergraduate (Although I never graduated from there) I now live in the middle of "enemy' territory" - Central Ohio. In spite of the old adage that the thing that an I-U football fan looks forward to is basketball season. I was very surprised and heartened by the fact that last Saturday my Hoosiers led Ohio State for more than half of the game before falling behind and fighting back, although falling 7 points short.
Look - Face facts - Your Maryland team is way over its head and should, like the Indian adage, begin planning for basketball season where they have had some success.
My prediction: O-S-U 62 - Maryland 21 Because - O-S-U can be scored on - until they wake-up.
...hmmmm....too many people visit my political blog...I'd better post some college sports...
ReplyDeleteActually this is not a political blog. It's a neighborhood bar where I talk about whatever interests me at the moment. But, the beer is free!
ReplyDeleteA bit off topic... My uncle had an old Edsel in his barn that he had purchased to restore, but never got around to doing so. He once explained to me the failings of the car in the commercial sense was due to perceptions that the grill had evoked a, uh, 'feminine' character that most men found objectionable. And since at that time men made the vast amount of new car purchases, it didn't sell.
ReplyDeleteStomping the Terps ass into a mudhole is part of the tradition of the B1G. Hell, if those hapless fucks up North can hang 28 on you, we're good for more than twice that... 63-0. No, Hawaii didn't score, and the Terps won't either.
